Easy Ikea hack

This project is so easy, I’m almost embarrassed to post it, but here goes.

supplies:
3 ikea grasset planters
steel wool
rag
mineral spirits
paint brush
1 quart copper paint  (you can find this anywhere from inexpensive spray paint to high end paint that contains actual copper – you’re choice)

drill holes in bottom of the planters if you’ll be using outdoors

lightly scuff ikea planters with steel wool.  brush off dust and wipe down with rag dipped in mineral spirits.  allow planters to dry

apply one coat of copper paint to the planters.  allow to dry and apply a second coat to achieve a more even finish

viola! now just cross your fingers and hope your plants grow.
