I highly recommend making apple fritters with the donut dough scraps. Mel has instructions included in the linked glazed donut post. Then add some instant coffee or espresso granules to the donut glaze, and prepare to be amazed.

AmySorry about that Jamie – I updated the link. And the picture is from Mel’s … with the actual link to Mels …. look under the week #3 recap for pictures of how our donuts turned out. Not quite as perfect, but quite tasty 😉 Highly recommend. ( I fried in a mixture of ghee and avocado oil in an electric skillet at 360 )
