it’s finally bonfire time of year, and man does it make cooking supper easy. (although not pictured, we really did have more than marshmallow for supper)

i love living in the country almost all of the time, but one downer is when manure is being hauled in the fields around us, and the flies seem to think our home is their home. either that or they’re sneaking in to avoid the stink, but either way, it’s war

i realized i’m getting old when my stomach was doing strange twisty-loo’s on the way up and down the tower.

technically, i realize i’m too old for a blankie, but this thin weighted blanket is the bomb. it’s the perfect compromise for when one half of the couple gets hot in the night, and the other likes to pile on the blanket just for the cozy feel of it all.
