what we’ve been working on ….

The beginning of the year, Clint and I decided to “roughly” finish our basement, which at the time was wired with the bare essentials and had only studs on the walls.

We quickly discovered that his idea of roughly finished and my idea(s) were completely different.

We both wanted a space that felt clean, a little (actually a lot) cozier, where we could use when feeding large groups of friends and family without worrying about staining the floor, but that the kiddos could still bang around and roller blade in.  I have a dislike for most basements, and was hoping to make our basement not seem like a ….. basement ………

After a lot of discussion, compromising, brainstorming, “pinteresting”, pricing and months of work, (my morning/evening sickness didn’t help ) I love what we’ve ended up with.  Clint did quite a bit himself, and I’m pretty proud of him – he is quite handy!.  There are still a few odds and ends that need finished up, and it’s not perfect, but for the most part, I’m thrilled.
