2017 week #27

camping out sunday night at the gerber pond.
it feels a little bit like fake camping, as we’re less than a mile from home, and had pizza for supper and mcdonalds for breakfast, but it satisfies the kids.  hey, and we did do s’mores over the campfire too.
true to our past track record it rained – and blew – and rained – in the night.  at one point i was laying in my sleeping bag, staring up at the tent and just waiting for it to collapse on me, but thank goodness, the tent stood strong.
i sure hope our kids remember these moments, ’cause i’m doing it just for them!

i was surprised to walk into our bedroom and find wren huddled in bed.

sunny’s developed a new hobby – making lego fidget spinners
it was all fun and games until i found out that her business minded brothers were charging her for the lego parts that she used, and had to put a stop to that end of the deal

on friday nights that we don’t have plans, the kiddos like to have a slumber party in the basement.  clint does a great job tucking them all in and telling them stories – he’s an awesome daddy!
